A Message From the Director

Prof. Suman Chakraborty

Director · IIT Kharagpur

We always wanted to be inclusive, because a nation cannot build till you have the impact of the greatest, or the highest quality of advancements, filled possibly to the bottom of the pyramid. So that brings us to the perspective of the Outreach Course Network — where we may be physically inside, but through our knowledge, and sharing knowledge, and not with any compromise, with the same purpose as our faculty are teaching regular students.

After 25 years, we want our students to dictate the future of the nation. From job seekers, they will become opportunity creators. They will create impact positively on the lives of many, and their success will be counted not by the salary that they get from the campus placement, but by the number of lives that they can possibly impact in a positive way.
